Tap into your creative side as we Immerse ourselves into Fluid Art.

This form of abstract art uses acrylic paints with a flexible consistency. The acrylic paints react with each other when combined together to make interesting and visually organic motifs. This type of art is not only fun for all ages but extremely therapeutic.

Goal

Fluid Art therapy is often used for people experiencing trauma, illness, seeking personal development, or struggling to deal with the day-to-day life. Through the act of creating art and thinking about the process and medium, people are able to develop skills that increase cognitive ability, increase awareness of self and others, and help them cope with the distress or limitations imposed by disability or disease. The primary purpose of art therapy is to help people heal their mental and emotional wounds as much as they can. Where the therapy in Fluid Art therapy comes in is dependent on you. You HAVE to let go with this art form. You can only manipulate so much. If you’re working on control issues, this is the art therapy for you. It’s an emotional response to want to control the moving paint. In this conscious thought alone, we can relax in an all knowing that it will all work out. You can only guide so far, but at the end of the day, it will dry how it wants.
